Relationships can become monotonous and boring. So many of us find ourselves going through the motions of marriage that we forget how to love. The day to day busyness of life can be draining and sometimes the only thing you want to do when you get home from a long day of work is to chill out watching Netflix or going online. A healthy relationship is a job. You need to know ways to love your partner again.

There are ways to strengthen your relationship and rekindle the love you once felt. You can start doing these things without telling your partner or make a plan together to work on rekindling the loving feelings. Either way can be successful.

  1. Tell him/her you love them every day
  2. Hug and kiss your partner every day
  3. Compliment your partner at least once every day
  4. Recreate an amazing vacation or date you had together in the past
  5. Be nice. Remember some of the small favors or special things you did for your partner early on in the relationship. Pick 1 or 2 and start doing them again. For example…did you rub his/her shoulders or feet after work, pack his/her lunch, pick up his/her clothes at the dry cleaner?
  6. Pick your battles and don’t sweat the small stuff. Sometimes you just have to bite your tongue
